BREAKING AWAY FROM WHEAT & GLUTEN

I have been gluten and wheat free for about 5 years now. I went dairy free about a year before that. Both were causing me serious issues. Like many people these intolerances and allergies can cause a lot of suffering, physically but also mentally, healthy gut healthy mind! Keeping up a diet that is free from wheat and gluten is one of the best things I have done to feel healthy and vibrant. Wheat and gluten can cause a lot of issues like IBS, eczema, joint pain, brain fog ect, but it can also run silently doing damage and there is lots of research out there supporting that it can cause an array of harmful diseases. Therefore I'm not completely anti wheat / gluten as there are some health benefits, and it's the over industrialised use of the grain that is the main issue. If you do want to keep eating wheat or gluten go for long fermented sourdough that is from a really good source using a looked after grain. If you're suffering and want to transition away from wheat or gluten then I have your back, here are some great brands and products to transition to, I have found these to be the best out there if your finding it hard to go cold turkey on the gluten. 5 years ago I just totally cut it out, there was not a huge amount in the market, that where any good, a lot of them are still full of crap and highly processed. I also suggest going for it proper dropping all substitutes and spiralizing veggies or using lettuce cups instead of wraps and bread. I know this can be hard so I have selected a few other options for you. I will say though don't eat these all the time as they are processed. I always recommend wholefoods. I hope this helps, thanks to Emma for asking me the question as I think this should help many others out there.
